At Algonquin Hammocks, a safe Internet shopping environment is of great importance to us, so we put together this page to explain how security works with us.

Our cookie is only used by us, and no other sites are allowed to use it. We don't track you on our site, and no one else can either. It is only for your ease of use.
Personal Information The personal Information in
our database is stored in an area of our server not accessable to anyone but us. Your information is stored only for your ease of use, and will never be sold or used by any one, with one exception. If you have checked off the box to be added to our mailing list, then only your e-mail address will be used for that purpose.
Transactions All Credit Card transactions from Algonquin Hammocks are carried out at Authorize.net, (The largest Internet Merchant account provider. The reason is simple, Authorize.net handles more than 55,000 Internet Merchants and growing at a rate of about 1500 new additions per month. They are monitoring transactions around the clock 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
How Shopping Works On Our Site When you're done shopping click Checkout. This will take you to our Checkout page, where you can put in your personal, and shipping information, and also select the type of shipping you would like. Certain marked fields are required. When you select Proceed, your shupping total will be calculated from the Shipping Zip Code you just put in, and your total (including Sales Tax if you are in New Jersey) will be displayed.
You review all your information at this point, and if it is correct, click Go to AuthorizeNet and you will be automatically transported to Authorize.net to make payment. Once you're at Authorize.net you have a Secure Connection to enter your Credit Card number. You'll notice that the padlock on you're browser is shut and locked. This lets you know that you are safe to make a transaction. Always look for this indicator before giving out bank account numbers or related information. Name and address isn't highly classified information but your bank account numbers are!!
Once you enter your Credit Card number in the form at AuthorizeNet, and click Submit Transaction, they verify your credit card, and if the order is approved, you go back to our site to get your printable receipt.
